Hire · React Native & Expo

Hire React Native developers with apps live on both stores.

Dedicated cross-platform engineers who have shipped push notifications, payments, video calling and OTA updates to real users — on Expo and bare React Native alike.

Hourly from $25/hr. Shortlist: 48 hours. Contracts: month-to-month.

What they do

What our React Native developers handle end to end.

The whole lifecycle — from first screen to store listing to the OTA update you push on a Friday without fear.

Cross-platform apps from one codebase

iOS and Android from a single TypeScript codebase — with platform-specific polish where it matters.

Push & VoIP notifications

FCM and APNs done properly — deep links, notification channels, kill-state delivery and CallKit-style incoming call UX.

Payments & wallets

Razorpay, Stripe and in-app purchase flows with webhook-verified state — plus wallet and refund logic that reconciles.

Audio/video calling

Agora, LiveKit and WebRTC integrations — call state machines, reconnection, PiP and background audio handled.

OTA updates & release trains

EAS Update channels for instant JS fixes, plus disciplined native release trains with staged rollouts.

Native modules when needed

Swift and Kotlin bridging for camera, Bluetooth, background services and SDKs that have no JS wrapper.

Offline-first & sync

Local storage with MMKV or SQLite, queued mutations and conflict-safe sync for field teams with patchy networks.

Store submission & review

TestFlight, Play internal testing, privacy manifests, screenshots and the rejection-resubmission cycle — owned end to end.

Animations & gestures

Reanimated 3 and Gesture Handler for 60fps interactions — bottom sheets, swipe actions and shared-element transitions.

Maps, location & tracking

Live tracking, geofencing and route displays for delivery, field-force and mobility apps — battery budget respected.

E2E testing & CI builds

Maestro or Detox flows for critical journeys, EAS build pipelines and device-matrix sanity checks before every release.

Performance & crash triage

Hermes profiling, list virtualisation, startup-time work and crash triage with Sentry or Crashlytics.

Tooling

The React Native stack they work in daily.

How it works

From brief to first build in four steps.

Every React Native candidate is screened on apps they have actually shipped to the stores — we check the listings.

  1. 1

    Brief

Expo or bare, which native features you use, current release state and the hours per week you need.

  2. 2

    Match

2–3 candidates within 48 hours, each with store-published apps we can point to.

  3. 3

    Interview

You interview. You decide. Ask them about their worst store rejection — they will have a story.

  4. 4

    Start

Onboarded within 72 hours — dev build running on device, first PR within the first week.

FAQ

Hiring React Native developers — common questions.

Expo or bare React Native?

Both. Our own production apps run on Expo with EAS builds, and our developers also maintain bare React Native projects with custom native modules. If you are unsure which fits, the developer will recommend one based on the native features you need.

Can one developer ship to both the App Store and Play Store?

Yes — that is the point of the stack. Our developers handle both pipelines end to end: certificates and provisioning for iOS, keystores and Play Console for Android, plus TestFlight and internal-testing tracks before public release.

What about features that need native code?

Push and VoIP notifications, background tasks, camera pipelines, Bluetooth and payment SDKs often need Swift or Kotlin work. Our React Native developers write or integrate native modules themselves and know when to bridge rather than fight the framework. For deeper native scope, see our iOS and Android developers.

Do they handle app store review and rejections?

Yes. They prepare privacy manifests, permission copy and review notes, and when Apple or Google push back they handle the resubmission cycle — we have been through review on our own products many times.

What does a dedicated React Native developer cost?

Hourly engagements start from $25/hour. Part-time and full-time dedicated monthly rates depend on seniority and duration — we quote in writing after a short brief, with no obligation until you have interviewed the candidates.

Need your app on both stores?

Tell us whether you run Expo or bare RN and which features you are building. You will have 2–3 screened React Native CVs within 48 hours.
